I provide for my kids just fine too - and set the example of a good ethic and clean life, unlike their father. To my way of thinking, the problem is males not wanting to shoulder responsibility OR share power/chores. What you left out are two things; first, the overwhelming belief in "free" markets (even though we are once again in a web of corrupt monopolies) and second, the intense lobbying by the financial heavyweights for the compliant government to loosen the regulations.</>Also, just a minor point, but don't you think it will be hard to survive as the unemployment rates skyrocket? If people aren't working, people aren't buying and we will start to starve in our new depression. The vast majority of top economists don't think we have other options than a jobs bill. Of course stopping the foreclosures and reregulating the financial system are just as important, and it doesn't look like Obama's stimulus or bank bailout plans are much of a sure thing.
